A quadrupole homicide took place on Sunday November 13, 2022 and Police still have no suspect as the public is left with more questions than answers.

College; a fun time in your life where you make some of your best memories while getting an education for the career path you look forward to embarking on. For four college students in Idaho that time was cut short, literally. They were all stabbed to death in their off campus house and discovered Sunday morning November 13th, 2022.
This case really shocked the nation. I think it’s because of how many young adults can relate to the circumstances leading up to the grisly murders. I myself was a college student and I also lived off campus for a couple of years. I lived with 3 other girls and we each had our own rooms and some of us had boyfriends who would come over, friends coming in and out at all hours of the day, coming home late from parties you know? That college lifestyle when you are all social butterflies who loves having fun while meeting new people and throwing parties every now and then. Looking back, I could easily see how someone could have broke into our house and possibly killed us since we lived in a crime ridden area.
The 4 victims include Kaylee Goncalves and Madison Mogen, whom where both 21 years old, and Xana Kernodle along with her boyfriend Ethan Chapin, both of them being 20 years old. We still do not know if all 4 were targeted by the murderer, or if they had one of the victims in mind as the original target and the 3 other victims happened to be collateral damage. This case is not only scary because it could have happened to anyone but more so due to the fact that as of today, there have been no arrests, no suspects, no weapon, and pretty much no answers.
This is quite upsetting due to the fact that you would think in this day in age, in a college town someone had to have seen something, someone had to have heard something, someone had to have captured something on video, right? Nope. It is as if a ghost carried out this brazen attack leaving behind no damning evidence that we know of thus far. With that being said this case kind of reminds me of another infamous case, the Delphi murders.
The reason being that initially the police had no leads as to who killed the young girls Liberty German and Abby Williams as days went by, weeks went by, even years went by because it took 6 years for the police to narrow in on a suspect. To this day we are still unsure if he even is the killer, since we are still awaiting their trial to see if they are actually going to be found guilty or not.
So since we still don’t know what we don’t know, lets talk about what we do:
4 young adults were murdered and we have no motive, no suspect, no murder weapon.
What does that make you think?
For me, I am beginning to wonder if this was a methodic killing like that of a serial killer rather than a speculated “crime of passion” since there is no suspect I have to believe the police have no clue why anyone would do this to them. Many people have referenced an eerie similarity to that of the Ted Bundy killings at the Chi Omega sorority house at Florida State University.
Another theory is satanic or occult killings. These cults tend to sacrifice human life and are sinister in how they commit these killings. It could be a possibility since police have yet to give details on the exact manners of their death. For example, what if all of the victim’s throats were slit? This would explain why no one could scream but also could determine if the killing was ritualistic.
Last but not least the theory that it was someone they knew personally. Many are speculating it may have been a jealous ex lover. This is still a possibility as one of the victims, Kaylee Goncalves, had an ex boyfriend named Jack whom she called several times the night of the murders. Police say he is not a suspect at this time so this theory is becoming less plausible.
This case has become quite the mystery, especially since we all know there is some person or people out there roaming freely after slaughtering four innocent human beings. I feel so terrible for Kaylee, Madison, Xana, Ethan, and their families and friends who will have to live with this trauma for the rest of their lives.
I have faith the killer will be caught but I really hope it is sooner rather than later.
